Over 16 years ago, a few
players came together with a common desire to create
a better environment for Oklahoma pool players to compete
in and the Black Gold was founded. From day one,
there has been an effort to organize the different leagues in our
state and provide one of the best tournaments
around. We now have grown to be one of the bigger state
organizations in the BCA and each year runs a tournament with the
largest amount of added money for any state tournament in the
country.
Today: Black Gold BCA is affiliated with
CueSports International (CSI)

Currently, there are more than 500 BCAPL-sanctioned leagues in
more than eight (8) countries with a total membership over
50,000.
The BCAPL was created in 1978 by the Billiard Congress of
America (BCA) as a means to unify independent leagues around the
world. In 2004, the BCA decided to divest the league portion
of its business and sold the BCAPL to CueSports International
(CSI).
